There are a variety of state services available to assist you during this transition period, including unemployment compensation and career services.

Your state lawmakers – Sen. John Gordner and Reps. Lynda Culver and Fred Keller – are working closely with the Wolf administration and Snyder County Commissioners to do everything we can to help impacted employees and their families. The Department of Labor and Industry has dispatched its Rapid Response Team, which will be setting up local events very soon to help displaced workers with issues such as unemployment insurance, health and pension benefits, financial credit counseling, training programs, job search activities, education services, and social service programs.

Workers can contact these businesses, share how they heard about the opening and hopefully be provided with a job opportunity in the near future.

Those impacted by the closure who are seeking assistance with mental or emotional health in light of the closure should contact the Pennsylvania 2-1-1 Helpline. Simply by dialing 2-1-1, trained Helpline Specialists can assist you by answering your questions and connecting you to thousands of health and human services programs.
